Hello and welcome to this week’s Trillium Creek Dermatology and Surgery Center’s Podcast. My name is Sarah Michalak, and I’m a Physician Assistant at Trillium Creek Dermatology.
For our Black Friday sale at the end of November, we’re offering 17 cosmetic treatments for 45% off! In preparation for the sale, let me tell you a bit more about each of these treatments.
Aerolase is a gentle and versatile laser treatment for common skin problems like acne, rosacea, melasma, warts, nail fungus, pigmented spot removal, scar revision, skin rejuvenation, and visible veins and vessels. It uses the Lightpod Neo laser to selectively target specific tissue structures without affecting the surrounding skin, making it a safe and efficient treatment option.
Botox is a is a leading treatment for erasing and softening wrinkles and frown lines that quickly and effectively improves the appearance of aging. Different from fillers, Botox is a relaxing protein that works by blocking impulses from the nerves to the muscles that create expression lines. Results may be visible in 5 to 7 days, with maximum benefits reached between 10 to 14 days. The effects of Botox usually last 4 to 6 months before fading gradually.
Dysport works similarly and is used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, or glabellar lines.Treatments usually take about 10 to 12 minutes and there is little to no downtime, allowing you to go about your daily activities as usual.
Jeuveau is a newer, injectable prescription medicine that is used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows ( or glabellar lines) in adults. It typically lasts between 3 to 6 months.
Chemical Peels are acidic solutions used to rejuvenate the surface of your skin. The solution acts on the outermost skin layers – causing them to disintegrate and be “peeled” away to reveal the underlying, unaffected skin. After treatment, your skin will have a healthy, rosy glow and will feel smoother and tighter.
Our CO2 treatment uses the Fraxis Duo laser to provide a viable alternative to invasive surgical procedures for scar removal and photoaging. It treats acne scars, age spots, brown spots, dull skin and wrinkles. The laser uses a micro laser beam scanner to resurface the epidermis, thus regenerating new, healthier and younger skin. Patients who undergo this procedure can expect skin that becomes increasingly smoother, clearer, and more rejuvenated after the treatment.
eMatrix is an energy-based facial treatment has been clinically proven to visibly smooth and brighten skin for a more youthful appearance. eMatrix Sublative Rejuvenation skin resurfacing treatments work from the inside out by stimulating cell regrowth, offering dramatic results with minimal downtime. Depending on your skin condition, 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart are typically recommended.
The erbium laser is mainly used for remodeling tissue that has been scarred or has become wrinkled with age. It is an effective treatment for removing scars from acne and other wounds as well as treating the laxity and pigmentation problems associated with aging skin.
Juvederm is a collection of hyaluronic acid fillers. Each product adds volume to a different area of the face, without surgery. All Juvederm fillers are a smooth, clear gel administered by your Trillium Creek Provider. Different formulations are approved to either lift cheeks, smooth parentheses lines, smooth vertical lip lines or plump the lips. Results are subtle and long lasting.
Laser hair removal is a permanent hair reduction treatment that is suitable for most skin types. An alternative to waxing, shaving and hair removal cream, permanent laser hair removal is effective at targeting stubborn hairs while leaving surrounding skin unblemished. Treatments are gentle, with little discomfort and the process is fast, taking from 1-30 minutes depending on the area being treated. Your laser hair reduction can be spread across 6-12 treatments depending on the number of laser treatments required.
Lipodissolve is a nonsurgical treatment that uses a combination of medications to dissolve unwanted fat in any part of the body. Results can be seen in as little as one or two sessions. Fat cells break down within a few weeks of treatment and are removed from the area by a natural healing process. Following 2 or 3 treatments, the end result is a smooth, natural look without unwanted fat.
Microblading – also known as eyebrow embroidery, micropigmentation, dermal implantation, microstroking, microfeathering, and 3-D eyebrows – is a permanent make-up technique for eyebrow shaping. Like any tattoo, the pigment/ink will fade over time. Compared with traditional tattoos that are done with a machine, microblading is performed manually using a disposable, single-use, sterile, handheld tool to deposit hair-like strokes of pigment into the dermis. With microblading, the pigment is placed more superficially in the skin, so results will last 6 months to a year.
MiraDry is a newer, non-invasive hyperhidrosis (or excessive sweating) treatment. Using microwave technology, miraDry targets and eliminates sweat and odor glands from the armpits. The treatment uses a hand-held device to deliver electromagnetic energy below the skin, to heat and permanently destroy underarm sweat glands while cooling and protecting the top layers of skin. As an added benefit, miraDry also permanently reduces underarm hair, further preventing odor.
NeoGen PSR nitrogen plasma system is a skin rejuvenating treatment that employs a unique plasma technology to provide consistent, controlled rapid heating over treated areas, stimulating collagen remodeling in deep tissue to regenerate and restore skin elasticity. NeoGen PSR delivers controlled pulses, making it completely customizable for a variety of different skin issues, including, at lower energy levels, wrinkles, fine lines, pore size and stretch marks and, at higher energy levels, photo-damaged skin, acne scarring, deeper wrinkles and skin pigmentation including melasma.
The PiQo4 treats a range of skin concerns, including age spots, melasma and tattoo removal. PiQo4 laser technology effectively removes all color tattoos by targeting both large and small tattoo particles simultaneously, breaking them into tiny particles that are naturally removed by your body. The laser only targets the ink, and will not harm the surrounding skin.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) stimulates hair follicles to regrow hair in bald patches and thinning areas, thickens new hair growth, and prevents hair loss. PRP for hair restoration involves injections of your own platelets into the vascular layer of your scalp. The treatment increases blood supply to the follicle, triggers and maintains the growth phase, controls the hair growth cycle and decreases hair loss.
Sculptra is an injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial volume loss. It is effective in stimulating collagen, making the skin appear smoother and firmer. Sculptra provides an increase in skin thickness in areas where fat has been lost, restoring fullness and a more youthful appearance to the face.
TruSculpt iD is a comfortable, non-surgical way to reshape your body. It uses warming radiofrequency energy to heat deep layers of skin and fat to improve your overall body contours by reducing fat and the appearance of cellulite. After only 1 or 2 TruSculpt sessions, you’ll notice that your trouble zones look slimmer and smoother.
Using laser technology, we can quickly and effectively eliminate unsightly superficial spider and thread veins anywhere on the body. Varicose vein treatment creams are not generally effective. The best course of action is to target the spider or varicose veins for removal using a painless, non-surgical technique.
