Sciton® ProFractional™ Laser
The Sciton® ProFractionalTM Laser is an FDA approved device used by Trillium Creek for fractional photothermolysis skin resurfacing. Fractional photothermolysis is an advanced resurfacing procedure that can dramatically improve the texture of the skin with minimal or no downtime. This treatment has also been proven to smooth out acne scars, improve pigmentation problems such as melasma and brown spots, lighten age spots, and reduce fine lines along with moderate lines and wrinkles.
OVERVIEW
Sciton® ProFractionalTM Laser treatment uses a laser microbeam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin. The laser heats tissue to a depth that effectively treats wrinkles and tightens the skin. Healing time is quick and downtime is short with the Sciton® ProFractionalTM Laser because only a fraction of the skin is directly treated with the laser.

TREATMENT
The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed. For your comfort a topical anesthesia is applied. The anesthesia usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to take full effect. Your Trillium Creek medical professional gently guides the hand piece of the laser across your skin. Treatments normally take about 20-60 minutes. Depending on your skin condition, 2-3 sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart is typically recommended.
Side effects of treatment usually consist of a mild sunburn sensation and minor swelling. Most individuals are able to return to normal activities immediately. You may apply makeup or shave the day following treatment, deeper treatments require 1 week of healing time. Sunscreen is extremely important to protect the skin during the healing process.
RESULTS
Results are immediate and progressive. After your first treatment, you will begin to see and feel the difference in your skin. Gradually, your skin will become softer, smoother and tighter. Fine lines around your mouth and eyes will noticeably fade as well as uneven pigmentation and brown spots caused by the sun. Optimal results are usually visible within 2-3 months.
