OVERVIEW
When frowning, the muscles above and between the eyebrows contract and tighten, which can cause unsightly wrinkles.

Dysport™ temporarily relaxes the facial muscles by blocking the nerve signals that cause the muscles to contract. This gives your skin a smoother, more pleasant appearance, even when you are scowling or frowning dramatically.

Frown lines can form because of the way a person’s face moves. Facial movements such as frowning or squinting can cause unattractive lines to develop. Over time, these repeated movements cause wrinkles to form between the eyebrows, even in younger adults.

Dysport™ was approved for cosmetic use in the United States in April 2009 and has been used in other countries since 1991. Dysport™ has been steadily gaining in popularity around the world and is now sold for aesthetic use in 36 countries.

Treatment
Dysport™ treatments usually take about 10 to 20 minutes. Prior to your treatment, your Trillium Creek medical professional will determine the exact placement of each injection to ensure the best results. Dysport™ blocks nerve signals to muscles in the treatment area. This temporarily stops the contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines.

Results
The treated areas will remain smooth and unwrinkled, giving you a more youthful appearance. Your untreated facial muscles will still contract normally, allowing you to show facial expressions, such as smiling.

There is little to no downtime after your Dysport™ treatment, so you can go about your daily activities as usual.
