Artefill®
Artefill® is a permanent injectable filler used to smooth wrinkles and defects in the skin. This advanced formulation contains a proprietary combination of Artefill® Precision-Filtered Microspheres™ (polymethylmethacrylate) suspended in a carrier gel containing purified bovine collagen. Artefill® is a proven safe and effective treatment for patients wishing to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds (deep folds that form from the nose to the corners of the mouth).
OVERVIEW
Artefill® works in a two step process. First, Artefill® visibly corrects your problem area. Then the microspheres in Artefill® provide the permanent support your skin needs to correct your problem area and prevent further wrinkling.
TREATMENT
Artefill® treatments are performed by Trillium Creek medical professionals and only take a few minutes. A topical anesthetic may be used prior to injection. Artefill® is injected directly under the wrinkle using a tiny needle. You can resume your normal activities immediately.
RESULTS
Most patients report desired results with 1 or 2 treatments, depending on the depth of their wrinkles and folds. During your follow-up appointment at 4 to 6 weeks, you and your Trillium Creek medical professional can decide if further enhancment is desired.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Artefill® is permanent, meaning it is not absorbed over time by your body like temporary fillers. It is recommended that you first try a temporary filler such as Radiesse® to make sure you are happy with the results. When the Radiesse® is completely out of your system, you can consider a permanent filler such as Artefill®.
